The Indoor Lap Pool - Choosing The Perfect One
You've seen indoor swimming pools on
Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous.
But an indoor lap pool makes this possible
for you as well. These pools serve two purposes. Obviously they
are a great way to get a healthy exercise workout. But they can
also be a great place to relax after a hard day.
Indoor lap pools make this possible because they are not as
large as a traditional, recreational pool. Most are less than
10 feet wide. Seven feet is typical. For this reason they are
perfect for indoors. You don't need a huge amount of space and
the pool size is easily adjusted to fit in the room where you
intent to place it.
And if leisure is your purpose for this pool, finish the
room with a nice sofa or wine bar. Put in a cocktail table. It
will be a great place to both unwind and entertain. If exercise
is your primary goal, you could have enough room to place any
other fitness equipment you may own. Put in a treadmill, weight
bench, Bowflex or any other equimpent you have and you've just
created yourself your own personal indoor gym.
Here's another thought. An indoor lap pool is generally a
good investment for your home. If you ever decide to sell your
house, this pool will only increase the home's value. So while
these pools are not cheap, you can get your money back and
possibly more at sale time.
It also gives you a place to exercise year round. Depending
on where you live, chances are you won't go swimming outside in
the dead of winter. Just turn up the heat in the room and
you're ready for your workout. If it's really hot outside, turn
on the air conditioner and swim in comfort.
Just be sure to consider the placement of your indoor lap
pool carefully. You want it to be convenient. Put the shower
nearby so you don't drip water throughout the house. And if you
have a sauna or pantry they should be nearby as well. Then
enjoy your new investment for years to come.
