A Vinyl Lap Pool - The Lower Cost Alternative

You want a lap pool but don't have the budget for an in ground lap pool. A vinyl lap pool makes a great alternative at a much lower cost. Vinyl lap pools are less expensive because there's no digging involved in the installation. And there's no concrete foundation to pour. That can also mean more money left over for any extras you might want such as a deck around the pool or possibly placing the pool on a pre-build wood floor. Yes these additions will cost extra money, but you'll still be spending less than you would if you built an in ground pool.

And the actually building of a vinyl lap pool is much easier. They are manufactured so the sides can be easily attached to each other and are just as easy to take down. That means if you want to move your pool across the yard or across town, it's simply a matter of letting the water out and taking it apart. If you are buying the vinyl lap pool for your kids, when the kids grow up and move away, you can simply take the pool down if you don't plan to use it yourself. Compare that to trying to fill in an unused inground lap pool and the advantage is obvious. If you are selling your home, you can leave it up if the buyer want to use it, or you can take it down and take it with you. Or simply let the buyer decide if he want to take it down or not.

Cleaning and maintaining a vinyl lap pool is also easy. Just make sure you have enough chlorine so you can kill anything that may grow in the water. Bacteria tends to form when rain, debris or leaves gets into the pool. The chlorine will keep the water safe for swimming. And chlorine levels are easy to measure with inexpensive strips you dip into the water so there's no problem in knowing if your levels are right.

The walls of a vinyl lap pool are also easy to clean. A simple pool brush will do the trick. If you've got company coming, simply brush it down before they arrive. And even if no company is planned, the walls should still be brushed weekly, especially during the summer, to prevent any bacteria build up. That's basically all the maintenance involved. It's low cost and easy.

So if you want a lap pool and your budget is limited, a vinyl lap pool is a great way to get what you want at a reasonably low cost.
